The San Diego Padres completed a sweep on Wednesday with a 1-0 win over the Miami Marlins.  In the series, the Marlins scored one total run following on a two game win streak in Philadelphia.    The hard luck loser in this game was Ricky Nolasco who was brilliant but fell to 2-4 on the year due to the inept offense.   Miami is now 10-25 on the season Nolasco struck out nine in seven innings of work with the lone run coming in the sixth frame.   The Padres managed four hits and one walk … [Read more...]

Alex Sanabia pitched for the first time in San Diego as a Major Leaguer and fell to 2-5 in the process.   The San Diego native was the pitcher of record in the Miami Marlins' 5-1 loss to the Padres.  Miami has now scored only 1 run combined in two games after putting up a season high 14 in Philadelphia.  The Padres who also have a losing record have outscored the Marlins 10-1.
