That's a pretty underwhelming list, especially for position players. Only one guy who projects to likely be anything better than a decent/solid starter (Heaney).

And Wittgren, at the back end of games.

hopefully Avery Romero becomes something this season and joins this list.

Any list of top 10 needs to include Conley, I don't even think Solórzano should have been named over Avery Romero

This list is certainly... Different from what we've seen.

At least this offseason we signed some guys that will make me stop mentioning Cox as a viable option. Though I hope he hits this year.

Keys will hit this year, and will be a major leaguer by August. Book it.

You seem to think that Cox has the talent/ability to be someone usable. The offseason acquisitions shouldn't influence that or his position in the prospect ranking list.

The bottom line is that you are probably the only person who thinks that Cox has "potential."

Dang we don't have at least one bat I can be very proud of in the future. We need to go with a big bat in this upcoming draft.

If that were true I doubt the Marlins would have made it a point to specifically acquire him in a trade.

At the time he was okay to pick up as *give it a shot* try on a former first round pick, maybe he'd discover some late-blooming power or something. Instead it completely disappeared. It was a long shot but whatever, it didn't mess up the org or anything. Without the dopey Dominguez trade it probably wouldn't even happen.
  15. I know he's not a top prospect but this list got me thinking... whatever happened to Jose Ceda? I know we outrighted him in October, but he didnt even get a spring invite as a non roster guy. Is he still with the organization?

First of all, that was back in 2012. His stock has fallen a lot since then to the point where the Marlins didn't give him a spring training invitation (last I checked at least). It's unquestionable that the Marlins don't see much of a future for him anymore, but you do for some dumb reason.

Also, the Cox trade was also intended to cover up their massive blunder with the Dominguez/Carlos Lee idiocy. They likely saw Cox as someone they could take a flyer on when they had little other options and nothing to lose.
