Also it looks like it's a 3 year offer and not an option on third. Yuck.
I think we all figured it would take 3 years to get this done. No surprise here.
Deal is almost done. Pending closing documents on saltys new house.
Frisaro is an asshole.
Did we got heeeeeem?
If Salty's getting a 3yr deal, and not the 3rd yr club option, than its the 3/24 or so scenario that I've seen from several sources. Even if an overpay, not bad. Can certainly live with it, more interested in seeing where we go from here.
Twins moving on from salty.
why? I thought we were rebuilding?
Rebuilding includes signing free agents.
Berardino's the source, sounds good.
yeah if it's 3/24-ish, that seems pretty decent, i think someone mentioned 2/24 which is way high. though i would prefer that 3rd year to be some sort of option, buyout whatever.
pretty happy with this. Our long hellish nightmare of free agents never ever wanting to sign here may be coming to an end!
If it's 8 million per year, that's a pretty good deal. I thought he was going to get overpaid for his career year.
Somebody quickly get Brantly's reaction to this move.
Juan C. Rodriguez @JCRMarlinsbeat
Per source, #Marlins offer to Jarrod Saltalamacchia three years, $21 million.
That's not bad at all
so guaranteed the 3rd year but 7 mil instead.
That hellish nightmare really only lasted a year. Then again most would tell u that nightmare was a myth anyways. FAs go towards the money.
3/21 sounds FAIR
Not a fan, but oh well
Daww, Jayson Stark likes us

They're going to be better than people think. RT @SledgePatrick5: @jaysonst why would Salta go to such a bad team?
3/21 sounds like a very, very club friendly deal after what McCann and Ruiz got.
