Stress... It's a killer (that and cancer)
Ok apparently it's not true now
CBS is also reporting it.
Wait. He's alive. He's ALLLIIIIIIVEEEEEEEEE!
Penn St. released a statement saying so.
This is weird.
They're saying he's still alive..barely..for now anyway. ESPN is reporting that he's already said his goodbyes to his family.
I have a feeling that a lot of people are going to blame Penn St., at least subconsciously, for causing "undue" stress and accelerating his death.
Based on the reactions of the student body + some of the media when he was fired, that's a very good possibility.
This is just really sad for him and his family over the last 10 weeks. And his failing health over the last couple years. In overall scheme of things maybe it is better that the mind goes first and instead of the body. Just thinking about it.
Damn. And it will be interesting to see how the media handles this.
Someone please change the name of this thread to Joe Paterno IS Dead or RIP Joe Paterno.
He kind of caused the stress himself. If he wasn't a pedo-enabler he wouldn't have been but under such stress. Who knows, maybe hiding what he knew for so long literally ate at him.
Jerry Sandusky lost a friend today.
After the Freeh Report today, no one should ever feel sorry for JoPa or any of his family. His legacy now is of knowing about a child predator and covering it up because of the "bad publicity".
The report states that neither he, nor any of the others at Penn St ever showed any remorse for the victims of Sandusky, until after Sandusky's arrest. That is nauseating and sick.
I agree. Originally I defended him but now I take it back. After the Freeh report with all the evidence out it's safe to say everyone involved including Paterno were criminals.
I wonder what happens with the program. Everyone is calling for it to be shut down.
Kick them out of the Big Ten and get rid of nebraska while you're at it
