You just know that somebody on these boards will want the Marlins to sign him.
Someone needs money.
The amazing thing is that almost $20 million of the $33 million he made as a player was paid to him over 2006 to 2008--when he was absolutely worthless and s***ty.
Wasn't he a scout or coach or something the past few years? I doubt it's money related. I would absolutely give him an invite to ST, could have a shot as a long reliever.
I knew you would be the one.
The Marlins could give me an invite to ST, it's meaningless, there's zero commitment, who cares?
He hasn't pitched in a full season since 2005..
ST invite won't hurt, though. If he sucks, good bye.
Exactly, what in the world could it hurt? Maybe some good PR out of it, too.
Innings are not infinite and it would take time and reps away from actual viable options.
Supposedly Mulder has looked ok for being out of the game for so long and having altered his delivery is able to throw pain free now.
As a lefty specialist, it wont be a matter of stamina really. I'm sure there will be a few teams willing to give him an invite and it will come down to what he would get if he made the team and the situation he wanted to be in at the same time.
Ruptured Achilles, comeback attempt likely over
Well that was short.
