B.A., Political Science University of Miami

If you're considering law school, don't do it. It will take your soul and your life. I miss you all...
screw it, I'm staying here with you guys.
I was headed that way at UM too ...
then said hell with this and taught myself programming. Couldn't be happier.
Currently getting pre-reqs out of the way for Engineering at a community college and then hopefully going to UF for Civil, then Electrical Engineering.
I'm now roughly one annual year away from earning my degrees in Aerospace Engineering and Physics-Astronomy.
I can see the end of the tunnel.
I LIKE IT
Currently at UCF working on a...
BA in Broadcast Journalism
BSBA in Business
Can you calculate the velocity at which you are approaching the end of the tunnel?
Yes. In fact, I can calculate the velocity at which I will exit the tunnel based upon dynamic pressure readings and the geometric shape of the tunnel itself, assuming the mass flow rate through the tunnel remains the same.
Show your work.
I'm contemplating switching majors or if anything going to law school at FSU. Would you say it'll be worth it?
Speaking as a business major: change your major to accounting if you're still wanting to do business. Unless you're studying finance (or business in general) at Wharton or something like that, finance degrees aren't too valuable. I've got tons of finance majors (from all over Florida) in my MAcc cohort because there aren't any jobs out there for finance majors. In accounting, you're essentially guaranteed a job unless you totally suck. And many of those jobs aren't really 'accounting' per se (if you think being an accountant for the rest of your life is too boring)
Umm. I constructed a subsonic wind tunnel in my lab
How is this going to advance the human race? Or is it basically your version of a 4th graders science fair volcano?
im jk btw
No trust me, other than the hour or two of design calculations, there was NO reason we had to partake in that stupid arts and crafts project.
If you want to do finance, a strong option is studying math or something with math in it, i.e. physics. Learning the fundamentals of economics and finance is pretty easy, even (especially?) on the job.
No. FSU for free is MAYBE okay. You have to absolutely destroy it there (top 10, law review, etc.) to get BigLaw.
Graduating this summer from FSU with a BA in Editing, Writing & Media. Transferring to FIU in the fall to start working on a second bachelors in Journalism.
Have any of you gone to FIU? If so how was it?
Ill contribute to this thread..
