In case any of you were planning to see U2 this summer:

U2 have pulled out of the Glastonbury Festival and postponed their US tour after Bono had emergency surgery to save him from possible paralysis. The singer, 50, had a back operation on Friday after suffering an injury while training in preparation for the tour. Neurosurgeon Joerg Tonn said: "The surgery was the only course of treatment for full recovery and to avoid further paralysis." Bono, who must recuperate for the next two months, said he was "heartbroken". They were due to headline Glastonbury on 25 June, in the middle of their 16-date North American tour, which was booked for June and July.

I'll have waited 3 years for this concert by the time they get back around to Miami. A series of unfortunate events.

On Saturday night I saw Eminem perform live in Europe for the first time since 2005 and he was insanely good, despite being 30 mins late on stage. He did a 29 song set including a few with D12 who joined him for a while.

I also saw Jay-Z yesterday and he was superb as well.

Though I should add, every song was not played in its original entirety. Some were just used as a lead into another song

U2 isn't bad, but a bit overrated IMO. I wish Muse would come down here, probably one of the few bands I would pay to watch live.

Blah! Balderdash! Overrated. Underrated. Muse opened for U2 back on the original 360 tour in several NA concerts, and so did Black Eyed Peas. Blah, overrated.

Sir, I give you the bottom of my chin.

Saw the Carnival of Madness Tour last night... (sets were in this order)

10 Years- Solid, cool dudes, very short set (5 songs)

Sevendust- SICK! AWESOME! Never disappoint and go NO RESPECT being played 2nd on this tour.

Puddle Of Mudd- Played old stuff mostly, didnt sound as bad as I thought they would, lead singer is a nut... broke tons of sh*t on stage (7 mics), should have been 2nd.

Chevelle- AWESOME! Very underrated band, played everything new and old stuff

Shinedown- Pretty bad ass! Know how to pump the crowd up, played most new stuff and a few oldies here and there!

Overall not a bad tour, great night! Next up: Mayhem Festival! :cheers

Yes, yes they are. Saw them in Ft. Lauderdale in '07 and they haven't been that far down since. Angers me, it does.

I was there too! Love those guys... GREAT band especially for a 3 piece... sucks that some bands dont come all the way down south. They stop in the orlando/tampa area and thats it.
