Hotcorner
Gorkys/Cogs/Kearns for 2 backup OF spots
canada-marlin24
I think its time to just let Petersen go. He fucking sucks in center field and is a AAA hitter. I though after 2011 that he had found his groove but clearly not.
Wild Card
I don't necessarily care for Gorkys Hernandez, but if Kearns makes the team and he or Coghs don't I will be pissed...
Erick
Austin Kearns is quickly becoming the new Wes Helms.
ren83
Gorkys cant hit at the major league level either, unfortunately there arent many choices out there, I would go with Kearns and Cogs

Why bother being pissed? In the end none of these guys are any good.
Bret Hart
I don't like to blame person's interest, but Petey should be stop the tweeting and be focus on his own job more.

batato
I think its time to just let Petersen go. He f***ing sucks in center field and is a AAA hitter. I though after 2011 that he had found his groove but clearly not. I agree, Peterson is old news. While we are releasing him we can probably still get something decent for Chris Cog. I can see another very very long slump for him.
Admin
Coghlan has next to no real value. It's hard to get something decent for a guy who hasn't hit since 2009 and has no position.

Kearns doesn't have it that easy.

Admin
The guaranteed money was the most egregious aspect of the Helms situation, though. He was awful in 2010, especially off of the bench (.114/.188/.182 line in 48 PH PAs--worse than Mike Lamb that year), and yet the Marlins offered him in the summer a guaranteed $1 million extension for the next season. The Marlins haven't even come close to that level of idiocy with Kearns yet.
Admin
And frankly, I think I'd rather see Kearns on the roster over Coghlan, Gorkys, or Petersen. I don't give much weight to spring training numbers; Kearns has the best recent MLB track record. I'd guess that the Marlins are thinking the same thing.
