JackRubysDog
Two great documentaries I caught last night on Netflix: "The Battered Bastards of Baseball" which about the brief history of the Portland Mavericks, and "Catching Hell" about the Steve Bartman incident (and a bit about Bill Buckner) with some nice moment of Marlins action. Well recommended, both of them.
Piazza31
I watched the Ty Cobb story with Tommy Lee Jones. I recommend watching with a bottle of jack and a sense of humor.
JackRubysDog
I watched the Ty Cobb story with Tommy Lee Jones. You know Tommy Lee Jones? The whole Ken Burns thing is on Netflix. Is it worth watching?
Michael
You know Tommy Lee Jones? The whole Ken Burns thing is on Netflix. Is it worth watching? They're all very long "episodes" if you will, but it is quite interesting - at least the first 5 or 6 up to the 60s.
fanofthefish
I like the 30 for 30's on Netflix streaming, "The Four Days in October" about the 2004 Red Sox, with Millar is one of my favorites. The Battered Bastards of Baseball is really well done, especially with Kurt Russell, who looks like he could have been a decent hitter if he hadn't tore a muscle in his shoulder. SilverBullet
That Catching Hell Documentary is crazy good. An emotional film. Literally got me choked up. Strong recommendation from me.
