Erick
feel like toronto won that trade.. rare miss for Beane Toronto didn't really win the deal. It's a typical move by Beane. It's a good thing we didn't do it though because it would've been a firesale in our case...
Eddie Altamonte
I would have never imagined this one in a million years... Don't jump to conclusions, Beane always knows what he wants and calculates the cost. I am not questiioning him ever
SilverBullet
Beans generally knows what he's doing and it often works out but man this guy be "firesaling" like every other year. I can't imagine the combination of excitement and frustration that it is being an A's fan.
Erick
To be fair, he's trying to win, but he just does it unconventionally. He spent on Billy Butler and he's apparently interested in Upton or Gattis from the Braves. It's all about depth and value for him.

Don't jump to conclusions, Beane always knows what he wants and calculates the cost. I am not questiioning him ever Because his acquisition of Jon Lester was fantastic. Along with all of his pennants won.

I don't think anything screams "value" quite as much as Josh Donaldson has for the past few years. I don't ever advise trading an MVP caliber player when your team is coming off a post-season berth. SilverBullet
Oakland is so not scared of trading away their biggest names, its amazing. Its like they have no one who is untouchable.
