Good job Turner. 6 of the 7 runs with 2-out and 2 unearned runs.

Bases loaded and runner at third with no outs and not a single run scored. Horrible series.

And Stanton...... Not reliable. Should have 85-90 RBI.

Back to 3 under and now the Nationals 7 ahead.

To make this day any more salvageable I'm happy mcgehee and Stanton and ozuna get days off. And to make have faith in any kind of run, DFA'ing turner is ideal right now.

Yup. You have a 7-3 game, take away mayyyybe 2 of the reds 2 out runs. And you got 5-3. Then mayyyybe score 2 when marlins had bases loaded nobody out with 2-3-4 hitters and it's 5-5. Nope.

But nothing unusual for the Marlins to win 9 of 10 then lose 4 of 5.

To be fair(and I will always stick by this) they should have won Thursday. And today was winnable if redmond took turner out to start the 3rd. Yeah very early in the game but with a day off tomorrow you go all out.

Yea but you can't just pull him in the third unless he's absolutely blown up.

We stand no chance against the Pirates. The Marlins needed this series.

I really wish the Marlins were scheduled to play the Astros after the July 31st trade deadline instead, because that might have prevented the Marlins front office from making that Cosart trade.

Red, Pirates, and then Reds again. Two teams that have really killed us over the years. I think we had one year where we played the Pirates well but otherwise a series win against these teams does not happen often.

Even then, the real issue is the offense and the extreme inconsistency.

I would also love to know the percentage of Jacob Turner's earned runs that scored with 2-out. Must be like half.

My issue was why turner didn't get traded with marisnik

I fully expect Jacob Turner to not be starting in 5 days. I know he is trying but he just sucks the life out of this team with constantly allowing 2-out runs. If a runner is on base with 2-out there is a damn good chance Turner will let him score.

Because there's no good reason to be trading Turner right now.

Good point. I have a question for you. Who do you think is sucking the life out of the offense?

Stanton and Ozuna. Both swinging at horrible pitches and show no improvement at laying off them and forcing pitchers to throw them strikes. They are dangerous when they are locked in but both, Stanton especially, are way to easy to get out.
