jsprt14
Supposedly the Tigers and Reds are close to a deal that would send an SP to Detroit.
CYmarlins
I don't think a rental is the way to go. Why not build for stability and get a couple years on the pitcher. Obviously it would help if the pitcher would have an option attached to them.

Entendu
Could also be Leake.
SilverBullet
Could also be Leake. Hmm, surprised that named hasn't leaked yet. ...I'm sorry, I couldn't resist.

Entendu
advanced metrics say nothing about him actually developing a consistent breaking ball. he has one pitch Walks are down and FIP shows that his ERA should've been about a run lower than what it was. He, of course, also has room to develop his breaking pitches which would put him in an even better position. He'll be 25 when the season starts. CYmarlins
Ehh that would suck. Not exactly the top of the rotation guy we would be looking for. Honestly I would rather they go after Peavy.
FutureGM
Yeah, I would rather have Peavy right now than a 1 year rental that will cost us someone useful.
Bret Hart
I don't understand why Frisaro didn't say the name of pitcher. Is he Lord Voldemort?
Michael
I don't understand why Frisaro didn't say the name of pitcher. Is he Lord Voldemort? It's because Frisaro is a douchelord.
fish14
I don't understand why Frisaro didn't say the name of pitcher. Is he Lord Voldemort? Because the deal isn't done and the front office guy who told him of the deal probably didn't tell him the name so they could finish the deal. Erick
My prediction is that it's not with the Reds, and we're instead trading to get Ian Kennedy.
pollythewog
My prediction is that it's not with the Reds, and we're instead trading to get Ian Kennedy. Same thing though. Pointless unless they actually resign him
SilverBullet
My prediction is that it's not with the Reds, and we're instead trading to get Ian Kennedy. Would San Diego take Jones? I'm serious since they're so in need of offense. Maybe Jones and Disco? I'm just thinking we might not have to give up Eovaldi in a San Diego trade. Entendu
There are tons of rumors regarding the Reds trading pitching. I'm starting to think that it won't be them.
Erick
The Tigers are going to get one of the Reds starters soon so you can eliminate one of those three already. Another guy that it could be is Bud Norris. The Marlins have been rumored to be interested in the recent past and he fits the description. Kennedy is gonna be looking for $12 million plus probably in FA next year.
