I think we have a few very interesting middle infielders in AA and lower. Guys who might be interesting bench pieces or solid starters potentially.

Bohn and Romero are the two I am most excited about.

I think "interesting" is a good word. None of the MIF we have seem to be great, but many seem to be solid. It will be interesting to track their progress moving forward. Bohn will be very interesting if he can stay at SS, he and Romero could be the tandem in 2016 or so if they keep progressing together.

Will he still be under team control?

Will he still be under team control?

This is his second year of service time, so 2015 will be his third year and I would assume 2016 would be his first year of arbitration.

The fact that Hechavarria will still be the Marlins starting SS in 2016, if not longer, disgusts me.

The front office loves him and he's going to be cheap because...well, he's not that good. I expect him to be here for a long time.

But I think the Blue Jays signed him as a major league free agent out of Cuba, no? Does arbitration and club control apply? I feel like his situation is different.

So why was he getting paid so much money?

The deal Toronto gave him to sign him, maybe?

Bingo. He defected in 2009 and on April 13, 2010, Hechavarria signed a 4-year, $10 million contract with the Toronto Blue Jays
