4/8 Post Game

Recommended Posts

Well say what you will but TK pitched a nice little game there. Got some good help from his defense and all that. Realistically the guys were actually swinging the bats well outside of Stanton and Mathis tonight. Just hitting em where they are. It'll all work itself out in the long run when we hit our stride, but it's never a good feeling when you start in a three hole. Gonna be battling that for weeks

Red would've been BLASTED if he took TK out to start the 7th and the pen gave up those runs and rightfully so. Koehler had thrown 87 pitches and was cruising. Why the hell should Red have taken him out? He can't see the future like some people apparently can.

I don't think it was a wrong decision even if I think Koehler should've been taken out. But history dictates Koehler wears down really really fast. If it was a couple singles or doubles I'd be upset if Red waited for two runs to get by, but a two run home run happens in baseball. If your offense scores no runs, you have no shot of winning any game regardless of pitching.

I'm absolutely petrified to see an entire season of Hech and Salty hitting at the bottom of the lineup. I expect more of 2013 Hech than 2014 Hech, and 2014 Hech wasn't that great to begin with, while 2013 Hech was statistically the worst player in baseball.
