fish14
sooooo nicolino is pretty clearly gonna be in our rotation for the future. just knows how to pitch despite the low k totals. salvages that with low walk rates. has had a great WHIP everywhere he's been
SoddenEye
Good to see Justin throwing so well right now. Hopefully it translates into Big League success but count me among the skeptics

dim
sooooo nicolino is pretty clearly gonna be in our rotation for the future. just knows how to pitch despite the low k totals. salvages that with low walk rates. has had a great WHIP everywhere he's been I've said before and I'll say again. He's the fly ball equivalent of Henderson Alvarez. Keeps the pitch count down due to pitchability and low walks. Currently projects as a low end starter like Alvarez did at first but if he can keep getting outs even with not decent (not great) stuff who knows what he can be. As for Nicolino over Phelps, no. Phelps is a better pitcher right now than Nicolino with far more experience. Nicolino is a 2016 potential arm, definitely not a guy worth rushing to the big leagues. Also Derek Dietrich is still awesome. It's unfortunate this front office will never appreciate him. I hate when it gets to these points but I'd rather see him traded and given a shot somewhere else than see his career wasted in the minors (similar to what was going on with Canha and to a lesser extent Barnes).
