The show premiered tonight, and I think that it has potential.

Generally I have found that pilots are pretty rough, and aren't a very good judge of where a show will go in the future. However, this was one of the few pilots that broke this pattern. One thing that probably helped was Abrams' stature, which would allow him a lot more resources than other producers who make pilot episodes.

I am also interested to see where this show goes because it has the same writing team as next May's Star Trek XI.

How's everyone been liking it? It's alright, I probably wouldn't watch it if Walter (John Noble) wasn't on it though. He's been fun to watch.

I've enjoyed it so far. I can tell you though with Fringe I have officially become sick with the dead-friend-being-seen-by-one-person schtick that JJ Abrams has used in Lost and now Fringe.

True, he also used it in Alias.

I like John Noble but really hate whatshisname from Dawson's Creek. I just can't watch him.

They were filming scenes not too far from here a few days ago over at Brooklyn College. I recently discovered the show is filmed in NY and apparently they like to use Brooklyn College as a double for Harvard since they feel it's similar looking.

I missed the first couple of episodes (including the pilot) so I'm sure I'm missing a couple of story lines (especially the first trip of Dunham into the tank), but I've really enjoyed it, and I think this past week's was the strongest yet.
I also like that they've started to really intertwine the storylines now.
I concur that Walter is awesome.
I also appreciate their explanations of the experiments and procedures - without making the show overly technical, they explain the feasibility of their actions to a believable degree.

P.S. that's why I need to see the episodes I missed, because the whole tank thing just confuses me as to how it would work.

You need to see the pilot to understand the tank thing at all. You should definitely watch the pilot anyway because it was good.

16 month bump.

The show has been renewed for a third season despite doubts about it returning. Of course... Fringe has moved into the 9pm on Thursday night slot on Fox which puts it up against CSI and Grey's Anatomy I believe. Its DVR numbers are apparently very strong and I think the show has a really awesome arc to it. Some of the standalone episodes can be disappointing, but the two colliding universes that are linked and only one can survive: ours or them is a nice hook.

Of course... its been obvious to the wife and I that Peter was from the other universe for a long time. Now Olivia knows about him too after he "glowed" or whatever and they're already building the resentment between her and Walter because of his and Belle's experiments on her as a child. The show returns for its "Winter finale" on April 1st and I'm really looking forward to where it goes from here. I'm hopeful of another Leonard Nimoy appearance as well.

Completely daft storylines but I still enjoy it. Earlier I saw the episode set in that town Edina with the disfigured people.
