Early in his career he had a short stint at Bayer Leverkusen and this spring he spent a month with Munich on loan and carried himself well but he had contractual obligations with LA so he came back to MLS. I would not be surprised to see him return to Europe in the future.

They've done it before, I guess it all depends on the draw. 2006 wasn't exactly an easy draw -- they certainly were outplayed by the Czechs but ground out a TOUGH draw against Italy with 9 men and were in the game with Ghana all the way. No excuses, that was an underwhelming performance, but I think this team is better especially up top with Altidore and Davies.

Like Mets-bs said he's just breaking in but I expect we'll see more of him as time goes on. Beasley on the other hand has looked completely lost out there to me and I think his national team days are dwindling.

i hope ibrahimovic doesn't go, internazionale would be screwed without him. also i read he doesn't want to leave italy because his family has gotten accustomed to the culture and language.

definitely. the guiza off the post goal was pure luck. after that i went to tell my dad that the game was over at 2-1 and of course s. africa scored the game tying goal as i did that. you could tell that spain didn't care about this game til the last 10 minutes.
