12 teams, each start 6 F, 4 D, 2 G. My team has been decimated with injuries (Markov, Kronwall, Spezza, Gionta, Bourque, Emery) but slowly I seem to be recovering.

It's no doubt an excellent pickup but if it took your league that long to recognize Weiss... as in not calling him a top 68 forward fantasy-wise... wow.

And I too have the pains of Markov, though hopefully he'll be back soon.

Feels good to beat the Pens...6-2 for the good guys, and Dvorak gets a hat trick to boot! :D

The Panthers are 9th best in GF and tied for 5th worst in GA. If they could just play some semblance of defense they could easily make the playoffs. The Panthers have scored more goals than most of the teams currently in playoff position. I know! Bring in Pat Riley.:P

All I could say after that one was "God dammit!" and I feel that accurately describes the game.

As ive said many times before, TOmas VOkoun is not anything special and is the most bipolar goalie in the league. How hard is it not to blow up every game in the 3rd period? How many times do they have to get multiple goal leads to see them ersed in the 2nd and 3rd like its nothing. This team can enjoy 11th in the east just like every year, have fun.

Its not his fault. Look at the stats. The Panthers lead the league in Shots against per game and Vokoun leads the world in shots against as far as individual goalies. The 3 guys ahead of him have played fewer games. Vokoun is 6th in save percentage. He's the only thing keeping the team from being the worst in the league. The save percentage stat is probably skewed because of the number of shots he's faced. Each goal effects his percentage less than guys that have faced fewer shots.

I know its not his fault and that the defense is horrible, but there has to be a point where it cant get this predictable. Hes great the first 2 then does just enough to blow the lead in the 3rd. Just give me consistency. Especilly like today in the shootout, he went from being a brick wall to swiss cheese.

The shootout is a crapshoot.
None of the goals were his fault. The goalie always gets blamed, but seriously this Panthers team in front of him just sucks ass. Keith Ballard has to be the stupidest player in the NHL.

Reaaaaaaaally bad defense right now by the Cats. Volkoun didn't have a shot at stopping either of those goals.

Vokoun is god its sucks that people underrated him because he gives up almost 2 goals a game but in reality he saves about 35+ a game with the sh*tty defenseman he has playing infront.

Defense has gotten better, too.
Offense is struggling now because of the injuries. 6 games left before the Olympic Break, hopefully we can at least play .500 hockey in those 6 games.

Vokoun has proven me wrong and has developed a consistency lately that this team has absolutely thrived on to get to this spot in the playoff hunt. we need a strong closing from him, weiss, booth, stillman, and frolik though if we are going to make the playoffs. and we need to pick up someone who can score in the shootout.
