  1. Season Ticket Holder Alert

    Posted 29 May 2010

Talking to my sales rep a couple days ago, he told me to expect an email about June 3rd regarding an appointment to go down to the offices across the street from the new stadium to view our new seats. All sight lines from your seat will be available through a computer. He said they were planning on doing two season ticket holders per hour, and gave me a tentative date for mine.

I also found out that the fans get first priority. They know who the scalpers, travel agencies, etc. are that buy "large" tracts of seats. Those type STH's get whatever is left. This was great news to me.

I don't know if we have to make some type of deposit or sign a contract for those seats for any length of time. I do know some teams have their STH's sign a contract for x amount of years, so it wouldn't come as a shock if they did something along those lines.
  2. Super Saturdays

Steve Miller Band on Oct 2nd. Will actually stay for that one. Much better than "Tribute To A Pedaphile"
  3. Over/Under

    Posted 12 Apr 2010

We are on TV nationally tonight on MLBN. Monday night game vs the Reds. Over/Under on the attendance we'll go with 15K. I'm going Under.
  4. Thursday Game

Beautiful day as long as you were in the sun. As soon as the shadows crept down to us, it was cold.

If Anibal took any longer in his delivery, guys could steal 3rd.......from 1st. It was painful to watch when he had a guy on base. That last guy that swiped 2nd was almost to the base before the ball left Anibal's hand. Paulino never had a shot at any of the three guys. Not to mention the hard time he had finding the strike zone at times. Some work to be done here. Does look pretty fit and trim after dropping all that weight. Really noticable.

So far nice job by Collins on his bunting lessons. RVH laid down a perfect one. Boni actually squared up to bunt one and laid down a beauty along the 3rd base line that they had to let roll. Unfortunetly it did bounce out. But for him to square up to one and make it so nice was a pretty good sign. Squaring up was a major problem for him last year.

Speaking of the board's favorite kicking boy, he made one heck of a grab to his left to rob a double and a run. It was like all of a sudden he just appeared under it. If his throw had been more accurate he also would have doubled off the guy on 1st. Just a little off line, and too early in the year for Logan to attempt a dive back for the tag. To show it wasn't a fluke, he also stole a single away from them a little later in the game. He still looks uncomfortable trying to sac fly a guy in. More work to be done.

Who knew Logan was so fast? First clue should have been when he was on 2nd and Helms was on 1st. They subbed a runner for Helms. Then that triple....it was a clean double. I even stopped watching him and watched the runners crossing the plate. Surprised the heck out of me when I looked up and he was on his way to 3rd. Have no idea if he ever looked to Espada and he was sending him, or if he had 3rd on his mind from the get go. But that was nice. He also made a very nice grab to his right, quick spin while getting up, and nice shovel throw for the out. Very nice outing to show his quickness on both sides of the field for a guy so big.

A little chilly, but a nice day all the same. Was great to be back in the ball park.
  5. Season Ticket Holders

Everyone get their renewal forms? I like the fact we can also pay for and secure the same prices for 2011. I will be doing that.

Actually, the whole thing was pretty informative. Full season packages means first shot at the new seating, as it should be. As does seniority on that package, as it should be. It also kinda hints that if you do the 2 year plan this year you move up a step. Don't know how long we will keep the full season package at the new pond, but this sets the tone for the first year. Gotta love it when a plan comes together.

It did say more info to follow on the new seating. We are hoping that includes being able to secure the equivalent seats for opening year next season. Be nice to know during 2011 that we already have our seats guaranteed for Opening Day, 2012.
