  1. FCC investigating complaint against radio morning show host The Federal Communications Commission is investigating a complaint that WQAM-AM 560 morning-show host Hank Goldberg uttered an obscene term on the air on Jan. 10, according to an Aug. 15 letter from the FCC to station owner Beasley Broadcast Group of Naples. Additionally, the commission is looking into complaints of indecency aired on the Howard Stern Show on both a Fort Myers station, also a Beasley property, and a New York station owned by Infinity Broadcasting. The allegations were filed by Coral Gables lawyer Jack Thompson, an anti-obscenity crusader whose complaints have resulted in hefty fines of radio stations in the past. An FCC spokeswoman said the letters were requests for information from the stations, the routine response to complaints from the public. Beasley could not be reached immediately for comment.
