Pen Knocked Around in Loss to Braves

The Miami Marlins fell to the Atlanta Braves 8-1 on Friday, to bring their record on the season to 2-12.

Following the team's second off-day of 2024, Trevor Rogers delivered a promising start for the Marlins. Despite the loss, the lefty pitched five innings, allowing only two runs on eight hits. He struck out five batters and limited the Braves' scoring opportunities.

However, the bullpen struggled, surrendering six runs in four innings. This surge by the Braves put the game out of reach for Miami.

Offensively, the Marlins managed just six singles and stranded six runners on base. Their struggles with runners in scoring position continued, going 1-for-4 in such situations.

Miami  will look for their third win on Saturday, as they host the Braves again at 4:05 PM. Max Meyer will be on the mound for the Marlins.
