Meyer Leads Fish To Third Win of Season

Miami Marlins starter Max Meyer dazzled on the mound, leading his team to a convincing 5-1 victory over the Atlanta Braves on Saturday.

The win propels the Marlins to a 3-12 record, with Meyer responsible for two of those victories. The young hurler boasts an impressive 2-0 record and a sparkling 2.12 ERA.

Meyer dominated through six innings, surrendering just one run on six hits while striking out seven batters. He displayed excellent control, walking no Braves hitters, and the bullpen mirrored his effort by keeping Atlanta off the base paths.

Josh Bell continued his hot streak by launching his second home run of the season, extending his hitting streak to eight games. Bryan De La Cruz chipped in with a two-hit performance, including his second double of 2024, and drove in three runs, bringing his season RBI total to four.

The Marlins will look to secure their first series win of the season as they face the Braves again on Sunday. Ace Jesus Luzardo takes the mound for Miami at 1:40 PM.
