Miami Marlins

  1. Forrest Wall. Not one thing stands out. Wasn't ever a Ray. He's neither good or bad. Forrest Wall is just OK.

I wanted to see what is going on with Jacob Berry? I am not interested in anyone keyboard bashing him or other derogatory & unintelligent responses but actual input. Berry was likely the #1 hitter in D1 College baseball (SEC) as a sophomore, coming off a transfer from UofA, and prior to that his final high school years was disrupted by COVID. His final month or so, due to injury, he was only hitting from the right side where his numbers were not as strong. In that situation, to be a top 5 and likely #1 hitter in college, shows he has it in him. In his first full minor season, he had a tough slump through May, then really turned it on when he moved to AA. I thought thi…

Put Otto at SS and put Edwards at 2b. No brainier. X--Man gets on base but doesn't have the range or arm for SS. Otto has been decent as a replacement level player in the middle infield. Otto is not a long-term solution, X-man is a younger poor man's version of Arraez. Don't really have a long-term solution or answer at SS but Edwards and his plate approach needs to be in the lineup. The defense is atrocious overall and we need to incrementally improve. As soon as cancer Chisholm leaves after he is done being showcased at second, pencil in X-man at 2b the rest of the year please.

  4. Are these losers still not on Ballys? How do I watch them locally? I just moved into my new place and I'm trying to decide how I handle my tv services, probably between YouTube TV or regular cable but I wanna know if the Marlins are gonna be an option (or any local sports for that matter). If they're still not an option, how are the rest of you watching the games?

Fcl started early this year and the baby fish are 8-1. Lot of decent prospects on the team. They also run like crazy, 8 steals today, which they are doing in Jupiter as well so maybe an organizational philosophical change. One guy who is electric is pitcher Keyner benitez. 17 yrs old and looks like a potential star. His stuff is filthy.

  7. Trade Scott for some bats, preferably a catcher or first baseman. Trade Jazz for a premium and mid-tier prospect. Call up Mesa and give him at-bats. Get Sanoja reps at 2B in AAA. Call him up in Septmeber if not earlier. See what Joe Mack can do in AAA. Find a long-term solution at 1B and 2B. Remember who Max Meyer is. Give Cabrera three starts to fish or cut bait. Thank Josh Bell for his services. See if anyone is stupid enough to take headcase Jesus Sanchez. Your are welcome Peter.

  9. Won't link but Davy Andrews wrote a fantastical article that is nailing every complaint everyone has about our approach to hitting. After reading this I pretty convinced that Daddy Dix actually knows nothing about baseball, and is misinterpreting data analytics that are spitting out fallacies that knowing anything about the game would easily be the cause of not misinterpreting them or more importantly taken as the be all-end all. John Mabry, Bill Mueller, and Jason Hart should all do the right thing and tender their resignations immediately. If they refused to do so, terminate them with cause.

2109 5th round pick, slowly made his way up the ladder. Numbers have been unspectacular but shown flashes of brilliance. Still only 24. Made his AAA debut tonight and looked very good. Nice to see this kid ge ton the cusp of the majors.

Marlins pick JJ Bleday over HS stars CJ Abrams and Riley Greene. Simply because we thought the older college bat was going to be fast-tracked to the majors. Not saying we would have developed the two bats with our horrific organizational approach to batting, but being short-sighted cost us big-time. Our whole weird approach to the draft for several years where we thought the older the player the better goes against anything age curves have taught us. Oh well, we would have messed it up anyway. Death knell #1.
