Why does Dr. Andrews have so many opinions? Is he not capable of making the correct diagnosis the first time?

If we sign Ozuna this offseason then clearly we won the Ozuna trade. Right? Where do we sit in the trade standings?

I'm not ignoring it. I pay attention to it and think about it more than most. What do you want me to do? Turn into one of these people who bitch and moan left and right for every little stupidity? All I want is for this ownership to get it right, what should I do while I wait for that day? Should I jump ship like you did?

that would be hilarious if that's the expected "bump" in payroll for the Fish.

Why are they kicking the tires instead of helping him get out from under the tires? Is that why he hasn't signed? He was injured by a freak tire incident?
  8. 1 point
Considering that half of that number is inflated, apparently not.

Rich and Tommy had that chemistry in the booth that they built up over working together for 11 seasons. Would definitely love to have them both back full time but it is what it is.

Funny thing is people will give Jeter zero credit for this which is probably fair since it was likely a Denbo/Hill move but they'll give him full blame for other moves which were also Denbo/Hill moves.

I'll do you one better. The Caleb Smith trade was Jeter's first... he actually thought he was helping the Yankees with this trade because he was sure Caleb Smith was gonna be a bust but he was so stupid that he got this trade right by accident. He's currently kicking himself because Caleb Smith is currently helping the Marlins win games.

Word has it, he hasn't stopped talking to get worried. He'll be continuing "to his point" as they walk him out the door. I still would like Rich back - Severino has gotten better/more personable/relatable, but I think Rich was better. I guess it's just a relationship thing, though as he was here so long.

I think they will - or at least should - for the right free agent. Their Jayson Werth signing (a year early but show you're serious). That's why I advocated a pursuit of Machado (perhaps not to the deal he signed, but go after him), especially in hindsight with the number of extensions there were - a guy that may've been a target like Boegarts is off the table. There seems to really only be 3 "big" potential fielding targets - Didi, Rendon, maybe Ozuna. Pitcher targets could include a Cole, maybe Bumgarner, but a lot of teams will be in on all of them, especially the pitchers. You have to start at some point, and sign some guys when they're available, even if it's slightly off your timeline - sign them to enough of a deal that will overlap with your timeline.

Tommy will be in the booth? Hopefully a sign of things to come!

Watch the Marlins pitch and you'll see plenty of homers.

If they sign Ozuna then they should look to reacquire Stanton Yelich Gordon Bour and Realmuto and then we'll have a real winning team out there.

Guys, just imagine how many wins we would have with this lineup..

If Yelich and Realmuto were kept, then people would say "should have kept Stanton, Ozuna, and Dee. Team would have been watchable, at least." Keep all of them, "they need to dismantle the team, they're not winning." WOO!

Then shouldn't he be discussed in the other thread about prospect busts?

Let’s move him to 1B because our outfield is so loaded that there’s no place for him out there.
