  1. But that there is the problem with assessing a trade post hoc. Either you assess it given the information that was available at the time of the trade (which most regarded it to be a fair trade, or maybe a slight Brewers win), or you must leave the door open for reassessment for the next 5-6 years while these players all finish out their team control. I guarantee you that second method will be calling it the dumbest Brewers trade of all time if 3 of the 4 prospects the Marlins got are key members of a championship team while Yellich fritters away his prime years on a mediocre Milwaukee squad

  2. Fer folks with kids, I suspect this is a big development. I've been to the park frequently, but never trod into the dark thrumming cave under the left field bleachers because there's usually a toddler or two connected to my hand. Maybe it was fine family fun under there, but because I had to take a circuitous route and didn't have a guarantee I'd get in with the little ones, was never worth the effort.

  3. I actually don't have a problem with this. As cool as having a pool in the park is, the reality is it won't ever be used. Nobody wants to go in a pool at a game. I'd like to see the area opened to everyone during the game - you could still have the seats that require tickets, but let people walk down there and hang out and see the game from a different perspective in a standing area behind the seats. Actually - better yet, open those stairs that connect from the promenade to it, and let people go down directly instead of the indirect route you have to take right now after games (down esc

  5. Cheap Jeter couldn't pay for chlorine for the pool so frogs started living in there and then Scared Jeter was too afraid of the frogs to clean out the pool so he just said tear it all down and Dumb Jeter tried to light the pool on fire but forgot that it had water so the fire didn't do anything and then Cheap Jeter just said Cleveland is in Indiana anyway why do we have it in Miami let's go back to Michigan and keep the Clevelander there in Iowa.

  8. Guys, we're talking about a team managed by Don Mattingly. Matt Kemp is 100% on the team, and there's a non-zero chance that Jose Urena starts in right field on Opening Day.
