  1. Nobody is going to give the Dodgers or Astros shit for having a bench clearing incident last night? Too busy blaming the Marlins for something when nobody knows how it happened. Suspend both their seasons for a week just in case! MLB: Today we reminded teams of how important it is to follow protocols and guidelines (paraphrased) Hours later: Benches clear in direct violation of the guidelines and protocols. And I am struggling to find any outrage about it from the national writers who were quick to throw Miami under the bus yesterday.

  6. Covid-IL temporarily removes the player from the 40-man and allows others to be signed, similar to the 60-Day IL. That's what I've heard anyways. Nobody should have to be cut.

  7. This is where we learn Michael Hill took Brian Anderson out for dinner in Atlanta to discuss a new contract. Kidding Or am I?

  8. I'm still so aggravated over this. For starters the Marlins need to make a statement about how this happened and if it's anything shady then whoever is involved needs to be heavily fined and possibly suspended. Beyond the health concerns I'd be so pissed to have this happen because of sheer stupidity. That would be more of the Loria era clown show bullshit that has made us such a laughing stock and if any of these players brought that crap back to this team and this fanbase then fuck them.

  9. If we have a good enough winning pct to make the playoffs, they’ll probably have us make up the games to hope we don’t make it.

  10. Yeah that’s the disgusting part and not trolling a post about a guy who passed away. Twitter is a cesspool of morons.

  11. The guys being signed will be cut when the real Marlins are ready to play again. The COVID-IL allows players to be signed without needing to make room, like @Michaelsaid.

  12. They really should be getting some kind of exception or rule change for this.

  13. OK so here's Rosenthal's tweet: He said THE ONLY positive result in most recent tests. Does that mean the 17 other positives tested negative today???

  15. I feel like it would actually play against the Marlins since 4 of the games knocked off the schedule were against Baltimore. They have literally been the worst team in baseball the last 2 years.

  22. People keep saying on twitter that the Marlins withheld the information and didn't notify the Phillies. I saw a quote from Girardi saying they were made aware of it hours before the game.

  23. Yeah but Latimer doesn't know either, he's just defending his team, which is fine but still gotta figure this out. Tbh I don't think they can figure out where they got it but they can probably find out if anyone broke protocols for stupid reasons, which to me is the most important thing to find out. Also, everyone is bringing up how the Marlins left Miami with no positives but the virus can take weeks to show up... it's not out of the question that it was picked up in Miami before they left. I'm also curious about what it would really take for the infected players to return. I

  25. There's a lot of "I think what happened is..." in that article. That loosely translates to, I have no idea, but if I were guessing here's what happened, and we have a story to write.
