  1. Can we give Monte more than 47 MLB at bats before labeling him an automatic out? LOL

  5. If all the signs, as they said, pointed to him improving his swings at the ATS and in Spring Training, then you gotta let him take a shot. Bunting and going for a single run on the road is dumb, every single time.

  10. All the signs point to Lewis Brinson improving in Spring Training too. Every player we got back from the Brewers stink. We have no bench because we have 698 injuries. Half of our position players don’t belong in the big leagues so Don was probably hoping Yimi could do what he did in Atlanta with a 1-run lead. Our lineup is awful.

  11. Yea I would have let Monte swing. And with Cooper and Rojas coming up, they can hit, with the runner already on second there's no need to play for a sac fly only. If after Monte there were two awful hitters like Wallach then maybe playing for one is more reasonable (though still not ideal), but with Rojas and Cooper coming up there was no need.

  12. well that answered my question from earlier at least whether this was mandarin or cantonese. so many games just given away by a total lack of offense (even when we didn't have a ton of injuries)

  14. Other than the Atlanta series, Duvall has been pretty bad. His defense has been very good though.

  17. It sucks how the Marlins have so many good pitchers, and it feels like wasting a lot of great starts this season by not getting them wins. I know there is a debate in another thread about Pitcher’s wins not being a very important metric. I’m not interested in getting into that discussion, but I will say that when I see guys like Pablo win no decision after no decision, and the Marlins being absolutely useless at the plate when he pitches is such a shame. Again not trying to get into that debate, but I will say that QS stats aren’t what get pitchers CY Youngs and All star appearances. Doe

  19. Pablo never touched the base either and Bell then stepped on first before Pablo got back. It was the right call.

  20. SO many challenges went the Marlins way last year...and this year it is the complete opposite. He never touched.

  28. That is actually something Lester was good at suppressing by incredibly varying his time to the plate. The NLCS against the Dodgers that one year, the runners were taking such stupidly ridiculous leads and he never threw over, but you know what would have been more effective? ... actually going. They were taking 20+ foot leads, just, go. Lol

  30. I was hungover all day yesterday. Here are my notes.. I had a blast: My seats were effing awesome. Right behind brewers dugout. Looks like I was on TV at the beginning of the bottom of the 4th. I was legitimately the only Marlin fan I saw there the whole time. Was rocking my teal Hawk jersey Jesus Aguilar is so much fun. Talks to fans, umps, dugouts, coaches, the entiiiiire game. He is such a character. Love that guy and LOVE that he hit the big HR in the game Fans were piiiiiiiiiiissed the whole game especially after that interference call. I made sure to chime in at a v

  37. A few years back I read some articles where conditioning coaches were discussing why there are so many strains/pulls, etc with today's athletes versus those of yesteryear that weren't as athletically freakish as today's and most of them seemed to agree that it has a lot to do with the added lean muscle mass that today's athletes focus on and the fact that bodies have not evolved to the point where the connection points inside the bodies for the tendons and muscles can accommodate the added muscle so there's a lot more strain placed on the body and that's why you see soooo many strains and pul
