  1. Bound to happen. Braxton Garrett was lights out at aaa tonight. 8 ip, 3 hits , o walks, o runs, 8 k;'s. His era in aaa is 1.55. Not sure what else he needs to do to get another chance.
  2. Bender to IL, paulet sent down. Brzzzzzky up and Hicks activated. Doesn't matter Marlins are a buzzsaw right now
  3. Just absolutely steamrolling teams right now. It's a beautiful thing.
  4. Let's just enjoy this while it lasts. The team is firing on all cylinders and is a joy to watch.
  5. Another tough outing for Milly against Memphis. Control wasn't there with 6 walks in 4 innings.
  6. Rome wasn't built in a day and there is still a ways to go for long-term success but right now the big league squad is a well-oiled machine and the minors are firing on all cylinders as well. It's almost as if all that infrastructure work like improved facilities, weight room, analytics, and strategies are starting to come to fruition. Laying the groundwork for sustainable success was sort of mocked but King Bendix is looking pretty prescient right now.
  7. Gritty outing by Gusto. Would love to see him stretched out a little more to not overtax the bullpen. This team is a machine right now.
  8. The Cardinals have a guy in AAA with 26 HR's. Joshua Baez. He's 23.
  9. Gusto sort of reminds me of a poor man's right-hand version of Blake Snell. If we can get anything out of him it would be a huge boost.
  10. It really is incredible how good a hitter Otto Lopez has become. This was a no power, no hit guy who was released at a young age. Absolute miracle work and credit where it is due.
  11. Best team in baseball...in June.
  12. There you go Marsee. Man this team has done a complete turnaround from the sloppiness of the beginning of the year. They are starting to look like the 2023 Rays that were just steamrolling teams and racking up wins. Fun to watch!
  13. Graham Pauley! Has been hitting the ball hard all night. Way to go kid!
  14. Run Ruiz Run.
  15. Yeoman-like performance.
  16. Ruiz on to leadoff. Time to run.
  17. Need to get the running game going on Herrera tonight.
  18. Morel to AAA too. No other team wanted him.
  19. Per baseball savant and AI: Scouting reports highlight several specific traits for the Miami Marlins prospect: [1, 2, 3] Fielding Grade (60): His instincts in the outfield allow him to read the ball cleanly off the bat and track down deep drives in center field. [1, 2, 3] Speed Grade (60): His plus-speed is the foundation of his defensive range, making him capable of covering plenty of ground in the outfield. [1] Arm Grade (40): His arm strength is considered below-average compared to major league standards, but his range and glove-work more than make up for it. [1]
  20. Norby had options, Jimenez does not. They would have to DFA Jimenez and any team could pick him up. Not saying that would be a bad thing, but they haven't given up on him yet for whatever reason.
  21. Don't know who is getting called up. Pauley? Alderman? De Los Santos? Random bullpen pitcher? This makes first and third base interesting. Thoughts?
  22. After his freshman year he was a projected top 4 pick. Had an injury sophomore season at Clemson where his numbers dropped. Second round pick without a lot of the measureables teams look for. Has absolutely raked since then.
  23. 42.-39. Pretty much better than anyone expected. Some ups and downs and certainly with 2 healthy starting pitchers a bit of a surprise. Pros: Otto Lopez- best hitter in baseball, shocking Liam Hicks- scrap hear pickup #2, been stellar John King- throwaway signing, been super Joe Mack- I can only get so erect. Max Meyer- potential fulfilled? Ruiz/Bender/Bahcar/Phillips- the role players who win championships Cons: Morel- swing and miss in multiple ways Leo Jimenez- meh, we tried, cut the cord Paddack- Quantrill X10s worse, bad Fairbanks- squeaky bum time Marsee/Gus/Norby- red alert, still young but not showing progress Second half prediction- wild card qualifier, 86 wins, beat Cubs, beat Dodgers in a shocker. lose to Brewers in NLCS McCullough is unanimous manager of the year, buzz is through the roof as Marlin fans realize you can go to a game in Miami. Prospects are knocking and Bendix is getting love letters from PollytheWog. And then, the lockout. Silence. We are here. We are Mighty Mighty Fish. Welcome to Miami.
  24. All things Cam Cannarella. Guy is hitting at a ridiculous pace. Average is immense. Questions on his velocity and launch angles. But he has been Uber impressive.
