D-Train doesn't get that triple earlier he's pulled and ph for in the 6th...Joe probably wanted to see if he could deliver again. Hindsight's always 20/20.
  2. Go get'em Admin! JP + D-Train + our unexpected great play (relatively speaking) = run at Wild Card! We have as much a shot as anyone the way everyone else is playing in the NL and JP could be a spark like he was in '03. I WANT JP!
  3. My expectations are now what they were from the start, 75-80 wins. The inexperience works against us and helps us. These guys are practically kids and go out there and play their hearts out and could easily get themselves into contention possibly should we keep playing this good or even better. It's still early though and once we get into late August and September some of these guys might fatigue, since many of them haven't even played close to 162 games in a season. Whatever though, I'm excited! This team is good and will be great real soon.

Who cares...a sell out is a sell out and all that money is ours...i don't care who buys our tickets cause we all know marlins fans aren't (except for me and the rest of us here who actually go out to games) And sorry...Red Sox are no longer the David vs. Golliath...second highest payroll (behind the yanks) and they won a title...neither of them are less evil, the Red Sox are just slightly more cause they sold out to beat the yanks...hey if you can't beat em' join em'

Cano's the next Soriano for the Yankees, he's not going anywhere. There is plenty of other pitching available that they could trade for w/o having to focus on getting D-Train. If Willis has a great year and we have plenty of prospective pitching that we could make up for and it was a helluva deal I think the Fish would consider trading D-Train. I'm not counting on it though

BULLPEN! We put up 8 runs and D-train has a solid start, for the most part and we lose the game in the 9th...lost our chance of taking our first series of the season. It may not be a while before we have that opportunity looking at our upcoming schedule (maybe Philly...). I wouldn't give up on CF...catching is fine w/ Olivo/Willingham combo

Is anyone living in the central/north florida area not able to see wendsday night game on their cable provider? J/w...I'm in gainesville and apparently some cable providers around the state can choose not to show the Marlins feed even though they can...anyone know what's up with that? I was in gainesville all last summer and was able to see every game...even the ones on PAX! Good thing I'm going back to south florida so I won't miss a game this summer. :cool MOD EDIT: Split from the MLB.tv thread.

Don't care, they could build it in the middle of the everglades as long as they build something! If I had to choose... put it next to dolphins stadium...great location between miami and ft. lauderdale who cares what it look like as long as the build the damn thing would have decent crowds if the roof get put on, ticket prices come down or we field a contending team, that's the only way to get crowds in south florida
  9. Very impressed with what I've seen so far! Granted I think the Astros are a lot worse team then everyone makes them out to be and we still have a lot of good teams to face. The Mets will be a good gauge to measure I think atleast compared to the astros. Bullpen came in great after Moehler's bad start and we fought back, something that was most of the time lacking from last year. If we can keep this up we'll win some good games. I'll approach this w/ cautious optimism...I think we can compete all year. The test is going to come in August/September to see if all these youngsters can finish out the year strong w/o any noticible fatigue in their first 162 game season, a good 20-30 games more then some of them played in the minors. Overall, looks good! :thumbup

This is what's happening...the marlins have little fan support as is so they are selling off all the players the real fans care about so now the marlins have NO fans at all so no one will give a sh*t when they move...each trade these days is a white flag to south florida. The ownership has given up. This is the last season the fish will be in south florida, go see them while you can cause there isn't much time left. f*** THIS sh*t! :thumbdown
  11. if we trade Castillo we are retarded...plain and simple. Either way here's my take... 1b: Delgado 2b: Castillo 3b: Cabrera (if we can't trade lowell) ss: Andino or FA (I like Garciaparra or even Ciaro) lf: FA or Niner...he's still got some gas left in the tank cf: JP rf: Hermida c: Lo Duca SP: D-train Beckett Vargas Olsen FA Just pullin this outta my ass...

To quote Yogi "It aint over till it's over"...Anything can happen and lets hope something does to get this team winning and catch back up.

Screw the pitching matchups...we need to win this series any way we can. We need our bats to go out and rack up some runs to sweep this series...regardless if we don't win this series our playoff hopes are dead.

When BBTN was showing Delgado's clip about his 9 straight 30+ HR seasons they mentioned that the Marlins are talking about trading him after season's end (so says Peter Gammons)?! WTF? Why would the fish trade him and to who?!
  15. we need to win this series, if we win we are in the drivers seat and control our destiny. Josh needs to get it done tomorrow to atleast guarentee the split and kick some ass and try to run away and hide. Pierre producing in the bottom of the line up is clutch but I think if we are going to win it's going to be Conine coming through and leading the way to the postseason like the veteran he is should. GO FISH!
