The fact that we haven't gone all in on anyone is kinda the most frustrating thing. Between no offer to Lackey and the word that we offered basically nothing for Chapman, it just feels like the front office doesn't really wanna get anyone. We've made more serious pushes for coaches and returning players than we have for any players that will actually help this team improve.

Outside of your own frustration with this team and this offseason I don't think you truly believe that sir. He doesn't "suck" and would have plenty of big league opportunities elsewhere and I guarantee you he doesn't feel sorry for himself or think he sucks. Everything I've seen on Koehler shows him as a tough competitor who battles to get his spot. He also seems nowhere near a front office shill. Having a positive outlook on yourself and your teammates doesn't mean you're kissing front office ass. The guy you described above isn't Tom Koehler.

Nope, agree with him or not I respect him. He likes Mathis as a teammate and doesn't care what the fans think of it. He also sticks up for his teammates no matter how crappy the roster looks.

Legit question for Admin or someone who will give me a real answer and not just a Loria hating answer... Where is that money saved last summer? Like can that actually just be pocketed by Loria? I wanna say no because if a business saves money and doesn't reinvest it the owner can't just take the money and put it in his own personal bank account can he? I feel like that money, when it's not being spent would still be considered company money. So I'm more confused as to why that money isn't being put into payroll because I don't actually think Loria can just say "Hey we saved $3 million on so and so, now I'm gonna buy a $3 million painting for my house." The money has to go somewhere in the business side of things.
