  1. i would love to see some of those pitching duels... brown vs. beckett leiter vs. penny levan vs. dtrain there were some great pitchers on both teams...add guys that got injured like fernandez and burnett in the end i feel like the 03 team would win, the 97 team played a sloppy world series and the 03 team was unstopable down the stretch Well maybe it was a sloppy world series, but do you remember how stacked the cleveland team was? yea they were stacked, but the defense and pitching in 03 was outstanding and we all know that wins chamionships...you could make the case that the 03 yankees were better then the 97 indians...that lineup was sick and there pitching with clemens, petite, moose, and wells
  2. With the exception of alou, most guys did seem to have average/below average years. However, the 97 bullpen was incredible as were the starying pitchers. 03, the bullpen was mostly just fox and urbina late in the season and in the playoffs. The starting pitching was probably near equal penny/beckett/pavano/willis (redman sucked in the playoffs), and brown/leiter/hernandez and of course fernandez was injured. Did saunders fill in in the WS after fernandez went down? This post is me rambling, its late and im tired. think it was rapp

  11. If miami fans are so concerned about moving there stadium away from campus...build a 35,000 seat stadium near, to hold all ur students and some alumni...oh wait...u wont fill it with just students and alumni for games vs low end teams... just admit it, ur dont have a real college fan base and u rely on the city for support of your team...kinda like a pro team... just move to dolphin stadium and allow the marlins to get the funding it needs... GO GATORS!!!
  12. Dan Uggla? u mean that guy that went 3 for 5 with a run and rbi and 3 doubles yesterday? or the guy with 6 hr this year who plays second base? or maybe the guy hitting .296 over the last week?

  14. why pull the trigger and let him go...we traded for him, after 15 days let him make rehab outings in AAA, if he pitches a few good outings maybe he can turn it around...im not a julio fan by any means and i dont think he will pitch well in AAA, but it is still too early to fold our hand
