  1. Nat's pitching rotation is stacked with talent. We aren't going to die without Jose for a month or so... but who's so say he's going to be throwing "cheddar" again right away anyways?
  2. http://oncloudconine.mlblogs.com/2015/03/24/sneak-peek-2015-marlins-uniform-combinations/?partnerId=as_mia_20150325_42651646&adbid=10153126310902349&adbpl=fb&adbpr=47716487348 I see gray! ... and no orange caps (YAY)! I think the orange was way too much and too flamboyant.. but thats just me...
  3. That's worse than saying "my vote doesn't matter...what's one?" Although it is hard to not feel that way
  4. I assume you have washed your clothes since last time, yes? Hell no. And I thought we might meet We can still meet, Wild Turd! I don't smell bad, home skittle. I did change the underwear and undershirt, and I'll probably wear jeans. You're making as many appearances as Will Ferrell!
  5. I'll be sitting on your face. Is it weird that I'd be ok with that? And other people here scare you?
  6. Wasn't me... Wasn't me... Sorry thought it was. Nm. But does anyone else want to do this? Admin, you're not in town? It was probably Wild Card..

  8. Ignore these plebs. The diamond club is a good time. If you are going for a day game, get there early for breakfast (get there early no matter what). The kitchen does a good job. Enjoy breakfast and walk around. Before the game you can have lunch too. Talk to the staff around the lobby of the diamond club entrance and let them know you are from overseas. Express that you are looking for more than just watching the game. Sometimes, if available, they will give you a quick tour or something. It's nice. You can watch hitters warm up in the batting cages too a while before the game. Then go walk around with the commoners around the park while having a beer. If you sit in FL8, which I prefer, and are close enough to the security guard by Lorias ramp, make small talk with him. He's really nice, and is a teacher (if hes back this season). He'll most likely give you a ball too if you're nice. You can also lean over seats and watch broadcast replays on Loria's personal TV down there, and hear the action in the dugout. Not to mention Loria complain about balls and strikes in his old man voice. Directly behind home plate is good too, but I prefer FL8. General tips: Order a beer per inning at least. They can be a little slow to deliver and if you're like me watching ballgames buzzed is where it's at. When you sit at the table, they will hand you a menu. No. Just order a beer, water, and pick up your plate and go get food from the buffet. Basically, don't pay extra for food or drinks. Grab cracker jacks, peanuts, and water bottles in the cooler on the path from the restaurant to your seats. Ask your waiter for a box, and put as many cookies in there as you can. They are amazing. Eat some during the game and take the rest with you. Seriously. They are good. You can go from diamond club seats up the stairs to the rest of the ballpark. It's worth it to experience some of the game from different views. Walk around. After the game, go to the clevelander. Have a couple drinks, and there is a flight of stairs that takes you into the ballpark. Go up those stairs, and around to the first base line. Walk down the stairs to the right of the dugout, and get on the field. You will have about 5 minutes to stand there. Just don't run the bases or anything. They will come and get you, but if you still have your diamond club band on, they will either walk you through the inside passages of the ballpark, and will even give you a golf cart ride to your car. Just be nice. Or they will just tell you to get off the field and walk back to the diamond club. Don't eat too much in the dining room, unless you really like what's there. You can order a good amount of basic ballpark food from your seat included in the price of the ticket. Save some damn room for the cookies. Ask staff. If there is a giveaway, ask for an extra. Ask ask ask. Fuckin' enjoy yourself. Oh, and sometimes players go to the clevelander after the game. They just hangout and talk to people. It's awesome but very rare. All of this. And don't sit in the first row, sit in like the 7th, this way you pay a little less and you're behind Loria. Wild Blue's dad and I did this and we ended up about 2 rows behind Loria with nobody in between (during a Sept game, which was slow, hopefully its packed instead) so we actually had some baseball banter back and forth. We also spoke to the security guard a bit (squall was right, a teacher from Boca, very nice guy) and we even had a little fun with some of the players and coaches. Red will give you a wink and a nod too, he hangs out right there at the end of the dugout. Awesome experience, one of a kind. Although since you're coming a long way and going to multiple games, I would make my way around the rest of the ballpark another day. Spend this day in this special place... Cool story bro.
  9. Squall did a great job summing it up.... It's totally worth it. It puts the game in a whole new perspective.

  11. Why is that your goal? No wonder people on here call you wild turd.....
  12. Because he is the size of one of his new teammate's Dees Ichiro's? You know what they say about Asians..
  13. You can be a "good guy" and also entirely incompetent at your job. Like Wild Card attempting to talk baseball. [Only joking, WC <3] No, its a good comparison!
  14. The kiddies get all the good stuff!! The replica ring and bobble heads are pretty sweet.
  15. I read the same article and got so excited I rushed to the site to start a thread but you beat me to it, haha! This will be awesome!
  16. But apparently that's the thing to do.
  17. I bet ichiro is starting before the all stars break. he is too good to be sat. It is 2015. 2013 Ichiro: 77 OPS+ 2014 Ichiro: 89 OPS+ WORST Marlin outfielder in 2014: 111 OPS+ (Ozuna) There is no way, unless there is an injury, that Ichiro becomes a starting outfielder for the Marlins. I couldn't agree more. He was just a nice name to add to the roster. I know its just splitting hairs and you probably weren't meaning it so literally but Ichiro is still good enough to be more than just a name. When called upon, even in a limited role this year, he is more than capable of still being productive. Of course, Ichiro wouldn't be Ichiro if he wasn't "good enough" lol. He's just had a decline, but such is life.
  18. http://www.foxsports.com/florida/story/miami-marlins-giancarlo-stanton-wearing-face-mask-020215 It looks like he learned how to stay pretty from the pageant.. In all seriousness, it's very smart of him.

  20. Wouldn't mind Shields but do not think he is overall necessary, and it would be heavily dependent on the cost. He's absolutely necessary in order to have a real shot at making the postseason. I don't know about that, but I certainly think it pushes us from a possible contender to a very likely almost certain contender. That's a lot of adjectives to just say promising contender! You've conveyed your passion.. lol
  21. I think the Seahawks will. I hope they do! As a Dolphins fan, I hate New England..
