Only $200 on sale and we still don’t have on #CheapJeter

Ideally, we’d be going after Laureano + the elite bat. That would truly make this lineup contender worthy. However, if were operating under the assumption that they want to keep *most* of their SP and prospects, and they’re in the market for one splash deal, the premium needs to be placed on offensive production. Not limited to simply upgrading CF IMO. 1B, 3B, SS, all 3 OF spots are available. We can move guys around to fit the best lineup on a nightly basis. Just find the elite bat
-
I still dont think Laureano is the “Yolo” piece were missing. We need a middle of the order type bat that can hit #3 every night and has an advanced approach. We need a legitimate .900+ ops guy in the middle of this order. I don’t care if it comes from CF, 3B, SS, 1B, we need that middle of the order guy that every other piece compliments. I understand those guys don’t come available often, but if one even slightly becomes available (like STL did with Arrenado), that’s when we need to Yolo trade. Laureano is a really good option as a CF upgrade, but he wouldn’t provide the juice offensively necessary to transform this team IMO.

As bad as this is going to sound, I still think Pablo is the SP I prefer to deal out of that group. And unfortunately, there’s almost no way they can truly trade him given the PR situation, even if it is the best baseball move. Pablo would immediately go from a solid young SP to a future Cy Young winner in every media bit.

I heard he threw from 60 feet today /s

Just not good enough

Classic fucking Berti. But I’m sure Don will say “professional AB”
-
Wendle has to be unavailable if you’re letting berti hit here
-
Only way it’s justifiable
-
Wendle in a mini “slump” so he doesn’t get the Pa. soler and Garcia in major slumps and get to keep their spots in the order. Make it fucking make sense
-
Wait...they’re keeping stallings in...
-
Great approach Miggy. Let’s go Wendle
-
Like the thought process BA
-
If it were me, I’d pinch hit BDLC and Wendle this inning
-
Wendle needs to be pinch hitting this inning. Question is, for Miggy or Stallings? I’d imagine Don chooses Stallings spot
-
At least Cooper recognized changeup and stung it the other way. Compared to Garcia and Soler, that’s an MVP level approach
-
That’s just pitiful. Why do you think you’re ever getting a fastball, Avi? Fucking sit off speed. What are they teaching these guys
-
Going with the lefty? Interesting. Avi, need ya this inning
-
I believe we’ll be facing Ian Kennedy next inning. Sanchez should be able to put a really good swing on him
-
Just once I’d like to see our #3 hitter make an adjustment and sit on an off speed pitch and hit it the other way
-
Soler trying to pull a slider outer half again SMH. Solid inning overall. Need to hold it here
-
That’s just horrific. 3-0 count against a guy throwing 91 with RISP and you get an infield fly. Just can’t happen. Not good enough
-
Soler needs to be removed from the 3 hole. He’s not a 3 hole hitter. Never has been, never will be.

I’m so glad Tommy Hutton is back for times like this. Man, I missed him
