  1. You might want to tell someone about the AC. They really do listen. Its probably just a case of redirecting the air. Yeah, I thought about it at the game, no idea who I would contact, though. [email protected] Thanks, Admin. I sent them an e-mail. Admin, I sent an e-mail using the address you gave me, but it bounced. :\ I googled around and couldn't find any other contact point.

  4. One thing I noticed over the previous iteration of the game is the ball physics, I thought that feature was BS, however in just 5 innings I saw a couple of balls hit that I had never seen before in a baseball game: I saw a curving line drive to left that someone from the Rangers hit that looked like a tennis slice, and I hit a crazy-tall slow chopper with Bonifacio that the 2nd baseman just barely fielded on the 2nd hop because it was so high. Very cool. That feature alone sounds awesome. I've been stuck on MLB 2K10 for a bit now due to money, and I've hit a lot of balls right down the line that literally stayed on the line when they should have sliced or hooked, depending on who hit it. Got a question, though - does this also happen for ground balls? Like if you smoke a two hopper passed the third basemen with a right-handed hitter, will the ball slowly make it's way left towards the corner? I would assume so. I haven't played enough to see it happen yet (although yesterday playing online I hit a smoker down the 3rd base line with Giancarlo that ricocheted off the bag 10 feet in the air. It was so awesome.
  5. One thing I forgot to mention...and Im not sure if this a good thing or bad thing but the air conditioning for the stadium is ridiculous...they have like maybe 10-12 giant AC vents on the support pillars from in the concourse that wrap around halfway down the first base line to halfway down the third base line (which are facing the field) and I unfortunately happened to be sitting right in front of one with a buddy of mine...I nearly froze to death...I first thought that it was the wind from outside but when they closed the roof and I still felt a crazy breeze on the back of my neck, I turned around and realized it was the AC. I hope my explanation made sense. Omg me too! I was sitting lower, but walking down the stairs I almost lost all my food I was carryIng. U would not believe how strong those ac was blowing! I went to the game and was sitting in Section 10, Row 23 and the AC fans were pretty much unbearable. The problem is that for some reason they're pointed down at the seats so basically rows 21-25 all around the infield get blasted with cold-air, non-stop. Definitely bring a sweater if you're sitting in those rows, but I'm hoping this is something they'll correct.
  6. I played an exhibition game with the Fish against the Rangers, lost 4 - 0 in a 5 inning game. JJ is filthy in the game, as usual, I struggled with control at first 'cause I hadn't played in a while, but I struck out the side twice and ended up with 7Ks. I only got 1 hit, although I did walk a couple of times and hit a smoking op-field double with Giancarlo that got called an error because the ball bounced off the RFers glove. Very cool. I also tried the motion controls with the girlfriend and thought it was OK. There's definitely a learning curve there, so I'm not ready to judge. I noticed it's very difficult to get the timing right on All-Star difficulty when hitting (I think due to the difference in input lag when using the regular controller VS when using the Move), I went to BP and put the hitting difficulty on Veteran and had much better luck. All in all I'm very pleased with the game thus far. Marlins Park looks awesome and the commentary about the park and the Fish was very positive and fun to hear.
  7. I heard the home run feature is being moved directly behind second base. I heard Ozzie wanted it in the dugout, but then settled for 2nd base when they wouldn't adjust the ceiling so that it would fit.
  8. On Like Donkey Kong. The Roof Is On Fire. Retractable Heroes.
  9. Wait, what did he say that was so funny just now? Not a clue. Damn guys, your spanish needs work. The guy basically asked "Tell us about your feelings with the new club", which was obviously a very open ended statement, so I think someone said "That's not a question" and everyone started laughing. Yo soy demasiado gringo para entenderlo. [if that's incorrect, blame google translate. I said "I am too much of a gringo to understand it."] Nope, that's a perfect translation.

  11. The suspense is killing me.
  12. Oh man oh man, I've only been lurking thus far this offseason, but I just had to post something!!!! The thought of Albert Pujols in a Marlins uniform is oh so sweet.
  13. I'll keep it up for one more game and if it's a loss, it's gone. I've done 2 whole minutes of work finding the matching sig pic and I'm not giving up on it at the drop of a hat. I'm on the other side, if we win tomorrow, I'll adopt the dog face as my avatar.
  14. Guys, I think we're close. We just need a different dog face. I propose the following:
  15. Cish looks good. still hunting for a catchy nickname.... Yeah, me too.
  16. Alright, Steve Cashew everybody!
  17. Alright Felo! Donde esta la zapateria?
  18. take that pitch the other way Hanley That's the kind of pitch he used to hit out the other way on a consistent basis...
  19. Boy he's gotta swing at that pitch 3-2.
  20. Hunter doing his best Chris Coghlan impression, aimirite? =P It looked like he was going to ram the wall the whole way.
