  1. Unless I'm reading it wrong, it is 59-61 so isn't that 2 back in the loss column? We're WAY behind the Nationals.
  2. It does if it is Perry Hill or Mike Hill. And it isn't your but you're
  3. Empire State Bldg ✔ @EmpireStateBldg Look up New York! We’re honoring the @Yankees winning the @MLB #SubwaySeries with a dazzling light show! New York Yankees ✔ @Yankees Bend the knee. pic.twitter.com/LjqudpzD9N
  4. Not PERRY Hill, right?? Hopefully they don't make a mistake between the two, lol
  5. The Mets just came off a DISASTEROUS series with the Yankees. How will they respond? Tune in to find out!!
  6. Barry Jackson ✔ @flasportsbuzz As Dan Le Batard reported, new Marlins ownership plans to hire new top executive to replace David Samson, source confirmed.Samson to move on If MLB commissioner is telling the owners that Samson is out, it makes me believe the owners' vote is a foregone conclusion.
  7. True. I was anticipating an early one, lol. And guess they did too! Patrick Pinak ✔ @pinakk12 Replying to @pinakk12 Nope. Maybe next AB? Joe Frisaro ✔ @JoeFrisaro Oh well. Groundout. #Marlins lead 7-1. Joe Frisaro ✔ @JoeFrisaro Stanton's up with bases loaded. Patrick Pinak ✔ @pinakk12 Stanton is up...with the bases loaded...he hasn't homered yet...
  8. It didn't appear to be Urena's day today. Thank good it was only 1 run! Now.....let's see what happens with the bull pen :221_see_no_evil:
  9. It doesn't look like G is going to get a HR today. Oh well.....an off day happens.
  10. And it can pay a lot of player salaries who are currently playing. OR help bring in SP. I much rather invest in the players then what I put my ass it. IMO.
  11. Those changes require a lot of $, especially 1 & 4, I would personally rather spend on improving the team/staff. To me that's just wasting $. It could be done later when the park needs to be refurbished. Redoing/tweaking the logo and changing colors could bring in $ through sales of Marlins merchandise. I would suspect there would be a lot of sales because some would feel they were snubbing their noses at Loria. Changing the walls and seats do nothing but change the park visually. It doesn't improve it.
  12. I have no problem changing the logo and changing the colors. If you look at hats like at Lids they have all different color arrangements in the M. And I know it happens with other teams, but most are long standing teams with at most a few colors. Not like ours that have many, and we're not a branded franchise like the Yankees, Red Sox, Cubs, etc. In fact I don't remember ever seeing a variation of the colors in Cubs logo. Now on the lime green. Too many parks/stadiums have the dark green already. To me it isn't lime green, but closely matches the sod. So I would leave it alone. We need to be a little different; we are South Florida, baby. But making a division between old and new I agree. Too many bad feelings a lot of us diehard Marlin fans and bandwagon Marlin fans.
  13. So if I understand you, the debt will remain on the books but it may be reduced by some of the sale $??
  14. If I remember correctly there was a lot of discussion about how much debt is on the books, and how much there can be. I thought the number was no more than $400M of debt, and already there was close to that amount. So has anyone heard of any talk whether Loria will pay off that debt with sale proceeds? Or does the debt carries forward and if extra $ are needed, it will have to come from the partners in the form of capital contribution?
  15. That sculpture was paid for by an art grant if I remember correctly. There may be some verbage in the grant whether/when it can be removed/changed. So it may have to remain for a while or stay. It's certainly ugly, but it represents a lot of South Florida--quirky, flamingos, dolphins, palm trees, ocean waves. What would you put in its place?
  16. ESPN Stats & Info ✔ @ESPNStatsInfo Giancarlo Stanton has 18 HR in his last 30 games. It's most HR in a 30-game stretch in @Marlins history (via @EliasSports). ESPN Stats & Info ✔ @ESPNStatsInfo Giancarlo Stanton (@Marlins): 6th HR in last 7 games
  17. Straily had a pretty good game tonight. Miami Marlins ✔ @Marlins Only one above the minimum faced for @danstraily67 after five. We're up, 2-0.
  18. If he keeps going, he certainly going to be over 50. Maybe even 60!! MLB ✔ @MLB “Catch me if you can.” – @Giancarlo818 increases @MLB-leading HR total to a career-best 39.
  19. Come on SIMS! We want another inning like the 1st!!! :derp-min:
  20. URENA VS. SIMS It appears to be our comeback game!! Already 4-0 with 2 HOME RUNS not done by STANTON!!! (Actually hit by Sims so he still did a run, lol) Realmuto was 388' and Ozuna was 386'
  21. ESPN Stats & Info ✔ @ESPNStatsInfo Giancarlo Stanton now has 8 HR since the All-Star Break, tied for most in MLB (Joey Gallo, J.D. Martinez, Justin Smoak).
  22. HEHEHEHE Andrew Simon @AndrewSimonMLB Ender Inciarte kinda started going after this Stanton rocket, and then realized "Noooope."
