  1. Anyone watching the game? It's on ESPN now. Nice to have some sort of sports going again.
  2. That's a neat idea. The Marlins should do this normally so the stadium looks more filled ๐Ÿ˜› ๐Ÿ˜› ๐Ÿ˜›
  3. 8 team divisions. Yikes. But obviously you'd have multiple teams from each division making playoffs. What, 2 from each division, scrapping the wild card?
  4. Are you saying drop the NL and AL then?
  5. I definitely think they'd ideally like to get Seattle a closer opponent, which is why a Vancouver or Portland would work.
  6. I agree. There's also that group that wants to bring a team to Portland.
  7. That's a good question - initially I was leaning toward expansion, as it's a way to inject funds into the game with lost revenues from this year, and there's already a group working on getting Nashville a team (obviously). I guess it depends on how viable MLB still thinks that idiotic split city plan is.
  8. I'm excited for a Nashville baseball team.
  9. We may or may not have an opening day starter. We may choose not too and just use the pitching matching. Still deciding....
  10. Shhh. I have to throw people off.
  11. Not that anyone else would be less affected, but with Stanton getting hit years ago in the head by that pitch, he knows how that feels.
  12. I like it too. It could perhaps use a bit of refinement, but for a quick mockup it's pretty good. I debated trying to come up with a script for it, but was too lazy too.
  13. How'd I do? Alt red background option:
  14. Another I found online:
  15. Are we sure that won't offend someone? How about the Cleveland Bland? Or Cleveland Nothing. Or Cleveland Inoffensive? The idea that we have to change everything these days is getting ridiculous. I like that. I agree it looks better - perhaps they could use the C one as the cap logo and the other one on the uniforms themselves.
  16. I would agree with that. I recall years ago when the stadium first opened and there were large crowds, that it was a disaster trying to get in with the lights and whatnot.
  17. I'd say a playoff appearance would get people to show up for those playoffs. Sustained increased attendance - what I think Aero was referring to - I agree with what you're saying - sustained success and relatively consistent (at least every few years) playoff appearances will get more people to show up - this town shows up for winners.
  18. Here are the formal 2020 rule changes: https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2020/06/mlb-rule-changes-2020-health-safety-protocols.html [quote] Major League Baseball has formalized a wave of rule changes and procedural protocols that have been widely reported upon and speculated upon over the past several months as the league and players union worked toward a return to play. The league also formally announced a July 3 return to training camp โ€” now officially referred to as โ€œSummer Campโ€ โ€” and confirmed plans for July 23 or July 24 start to the regular season. Among the changes tha
  19. I want 60! Last year we had 57, we need to see improvement!
  20. As far as I understand, it'd work like normal where the players don't get anything should there be fans. The players could have gotten a bigger portion of playoff revenue and more with expanded playoffs, but refused to OK the deal. Apparently they already get a portion of postseason gate revenue, but were looking to get a larger portion, so since a deal wasn't reached, all they'll get is their traditional portion of postseason gate revenue should there be fans. They're after the fact trying to get MLB to do expanded playoffs, which is laughable - should've just taken the deal. They are
