1. Know that Sox fans will be there in full force cheering on the Marlins, but I too fear that Flub fans will make their way to the South Side where trouble is bound to ensue. Trust me, the last thing I need to see in our park is more Cub fans.... 550119 Nothing like a brawl between Cubs and Sox fans during a Marlins-Expos game. :banghead But you're right, it could get ugly, which just strikes me as really bizarre.
2. Heh.. what happens when Billy Koch comes into pitch? I would hope Sox fans would greet him warmly. 550133 I don't think we'd boo him ... he was extremely frustrating to watch pitch, but he was a standup guy. He never skirted the blame, and I think most Sox fans respected him for that. Still, we were quite happy to have him off the team.
3. Why do the f*** do Cubs and White Sox fans hate each other so much? I don't hate D-Rays fans! I mean seriously, they aren't even in the same division. Hell, they aren't even in the same league! Stupid rival created by fans. Two teams separated by 8.1 miles for 100 years, with neither winning a championship since 1917. When you go that long without winning anything, you have to look for other things to get excited about -- i.e., the other team sucking just as much or worse. Hence, the root cause of the rivalry. And that doesn't even get into the decades old divides along geography, race, religion and economic class. There's really nothing like Cubs-Sox in all of sports. Yankees-Red Sox is a great rivalry and it gets all the publicity, but it doesn't hold a candle to the Crosstown Classic.
4. One of the Baseball Tonight guys (don't remember which one) last month said he doubted Sosa was on steroids because "He doesn't get injured easily, which is a major sign of steroid use." :whistle
5. I'm sorry to hear that......... :plain :whistle :shifty b***h, they're not even in the same division. Get ready for Kerry Wood watch, whether you like it or not. Because the Cubs? Matter. Thats pretty amusing coming from a guy who rips the Sox in his signature. You guys now have a mediocre pitching staff, whether you like it or not. b***h.
6. I think they should put Marte as the full-time closer. Hey Maggs how long is Koch signed for? I know hes making a ton. Maggs will be a free agent after this season. He's making $14 million right now, and is looking for $70 million over 5 years. The Sox have reportedly offered $55 million for 4 years, so they're at least relatively close. Maggs has said he wants to stay with the Sox, but he also knows that he's 29 years old and this is probably his last huge contract, so he wants to maximize it. I love Ordonez and would like to see him stay with the Sox his whole career, but in the bigger picture, I'm not convinced that giving him $14 million a year is wise for a team with a $60 million payroll ? especially since we have Jeremy Reed and Joe Borchard in AAA, both of whom are projected to be All Star outfielders in the coming years. We could use Ordonez's contract on another starting pitcher and to secure Buehrle and Loaiza longterm. Still, if they do sign Maggs, I sure wouldn't complain.
7. If you are talking about "Yankees MAil Back World Series Trophy", it is aprt of a running joke of mine, I wasn't being serious. I love people's poor reading comprehension. I mean, doesn't a quotation like this stick out from you? It is only 11 games, but jeez, get Crosby in the lineup!? Lastly, just let me note I'm sure the Yankees will start to bat above .240...eventually. At this point, I wouldn't be advocating Crosby's glorious return as much, but bernie isn't hitting a lick either and his defense is even worse. I think he/she was referring to MaysBonds660 I was. It's all good, I got no other beefs.
8. This from the guy who declares his team sucks because they had a tough opening week? kettle = black
9. the thing is with cub fans, you can say what you want about them, but they are loyal. That's the sole thing that prevents them from being the worst. Nope. I would guess 50% of people who consider themselves Cubs fans A) Had never been to a game until 6 years ago, and B) Couldn't name 5 players on the team. I'm not joking. Loyalty? They're loyal to beer and Wrigley's party atmosphere, not the Cubs. I guarantee, if the Cubs and Sox were to trade stadiums, the Cubs' attendance would drop literally in half, while the Sox' would double.
10. Cubs fans= white sox fans That's the worst insult I've ever incurred. Seriously.
11. Best of luck friends, we ain't forgot about ya. Fight on Fish. :thumbup

If anyone isn't convinced then I don't know what rock they've been living in... BTW: If the Heat make the playoffs with home-court advantage, Dwyane Wade should be ROY IMO. No way dude! What Carmelo and LeBron are doing is incredible, and Wade is the 2nd or 3rd option on a mediocre team of veterans while both Denver and Cleveland have overachieved. I agree that LeBron and Melo are more deserving, but it's crazy to dismiss Wade from the discussion. He's definitely underrated nationally.

I doubt it. But don't worry about his height -- it's all about his arm length and his explosiveness. He gets more steals than you'd believe, and he has an amazing ability to fly by players on the way to the basket. It's a sight to behold. Sure, he could do that in Conference USA, but it may be a different story in the NBA. We'll see. You've had a season to watch him ... convinced yet? :notworthy
14. In the opinion of this Marquette alumnus, the only college sport that matters is men's basketball. Considering that, nobody measures up to the new Big East ... I'd put UConn, Cincy, Marquette, Louisville, Syracuse, Notre Dame, Georgetown, Villanova and DePaul up against any conference in the country.
15. marquette=underrated You damn skippy! Losing DWade hurts, don't get me wrong, but with Diener, Novak, Merritt and a Top 10 recruiting class, they're still a solid Sweet 16 team. :thumbup
