Scoreless in the top of the 3rd.

Give Beckett 5 or 6 innings and get him out of there.
No sense in trying to prove anything.

Since there are only 3 days between today and his opening day start, Beckett only pitched 2 innings.

JUPITER, FLORIDA (TICKER) -- Mike Lowell hit a pair of homers and drove in three runs to power the Florida Marlins to an 8-1 triumph over the St. Louis Cardinals in the Grapefruit League.

Mike Mordecai and Brian Barns also homered for the Marlins, who collected 11 hits off three Cardinals pitchers.

St. Louis starter Jason Simontacchi was tagged for four runs and eight hits in six innings, including solo homers to Mordecai and Lowell in the sixth.

Banks hit a two-run homer off Lance Painter in the seventh and Lowell had a two-run blast in the eighth off Dustin Hermanson.

Florida used seven pitchers with starter Josh Beckett working two scoreless frames.

Albert Pujols had two hits for the Cardinals.

Yay...we won our last official spring training game.
Not just yet...Marlins play tomorrow against Montreal in Jupiter ar 12:05.

Not just yet...Marlins play tomorrow against Montreal in Jupiter ar 12:05. and off course im going.... I say Lowell going deep again also Pudge is going yard (2) of them
