I tried to add as many choices as possible. Listed above were the highest-grossing and the best-reviewed films of the year.

If you choose 'Other', please list your choice below.

There's still a lot I haven't seen and a lot hasn't even been released wide let, so I am hesistant to name a film of the year this early, but right now my favorite film is a small little Belgian film called L'Enfant. It was the 2005 Cannes Film Festival winner of the Palme d'Or.
I think that would probably qualify as a 2005 film...

I've only seen about half of the movies on the list (didn't get out to the theater much this year). Of the choices given my favorite was Flight 93.

Flight 93 was a TV movie on AMC I believe. United 93 was the theatrical version of the incident.

I voted for The Departed, which was only a solid 3 star movie, really nothing great. I saw Enfant, L' BTW and it was very average at best. 2006 was a horrible year for movies. Pan's Labyrinth gives me some remote hope for 2007.

Why did you see "When a Stranger Calls" and "The Covenant"? I heard those were two of the worst movies to come out this year.

V for Vendetta. This was a really craptastic year for movies.

Agreed. Then, the ones that I was looking forward to turned out to be disappointing (The Good Shepherd).

The Departed was the best movie....great plot and cast.
I thought that DiCaprio turned in quality performances in two films this year, The Departed and Blood Diamond.

V for Vendetta and Casino Royale I liked.... Superman Returns was a piece of sh*t and I rarely, ever, pan a superhero movie (unless it is the 1989 bomb Captain America)... I enjoyed X-3 a lot more than Superman

I nearly fell asleep watching Superman Returns. It was really, really boring and long.

Little Miss Sunshine, The Prestige, V for Vendetta, Running Scared - everything else I saw was alright.

i don't see too much in movies, but i thought cars was great, and should have been up there. every movie pixar does is well done and i think they really brought back animation into being relevant movies.

update, i didn't notice cars was on the poll...sorry. take my vote from other movies to cars please.
