I just started working for a new company back in December and even though I really don't like participating in food competions, I'm doing this for them to get my name out to upper managment(a.k.a. butt kissing). Here is my menu, tell me what you think.

Salad/Appetizer

Crabcake Salad

A pan-seared crab cake served on mixed field greens topped with a tropical fruit salsa and mango vinegrette. Served with herb cheese crostini.

Entree

Honey Pecan Roasted Quail

Honey roasted quail topped with toasted pecans with a smoked crawfish spinach and tasso stuffing served with a roasted garlic cream sauce, julienne vegetable nest and grilled baby potatoes.

Dessert

Sweet Potato Cheesecake

Creamy cheesecake infused with fresh sweet potato over a nut crust, smothered in a bourbon sauce and topped with a crunchy tuile .

So what do you think?

I came in third, not bad. The distric chef won, so I don't feel so bad.
