If you are looking for a fairly new show to watch, you might wanna check out the Dead Zone on Sunday nights at 10 on USA Network...Based on the STephen King novel, it stars Anthony Michael Hall (of 16 Candles fame) as Johnny Smith, a man who awakens from a coma for 6 years and has achieve d a special ability..By touching a person or an object, Johnny can get images on a person's past, present, or future..Not only does he get images, but he can manipulate inside of them and move around in them, sometimes taking on the point of view of the person he is getting the vibe on...With knowledge of what has or what will come to be, he does what he can to prevent bad things from happening...However, the accident that had put him in a coma left him with a slight handicap as he needs to get around with a cane...
This show was a midseason replacement last year and had about 7 episodes...the cliffhanger of Season 1 had Johnny shaking hands with a possible presidential candidate and seeing an image of Washington DC destroyed in flames...Season 2 started last week so it is not too late to get on board to follow this show...Sci-Fi runs them again a few weeks later after USA NEtwork and there are ocasional marathons of Season 1 on USA...One of the head writers is Michael Piller who was a head writer for StarTrek The Next Generation, so the scripts have been pretty good...
If you have seen M. Night Shyamalans UNBREAKABLE with Bruce WIllis, it is very close to what this show is about...Check it out...
