Yea i think Bill Robinson should work a little with him. He has been doing terrible, i dont know why Jack put him 4th Last night. We need D.Lee's power and defense in the lineup so might as well work on his hitting if he doesnt want to be traded...
Lee and Banks
Intresting lineup...Pierre was projected to be at the 8th hole before the season started. I think Mckeon will put a lineup like that in the future.
Pierre isnt struggling just he is getting walked alot....
Jack insists on keeping him in the cleanup spot and last night he went 2-4 with a HR. We need Derrek to have a successful offense and hopefully this confidence placed in him by Jack will turn him around earlier than post ASB!
West Coast man I guess?
this last 6 game homestand he hit .464 or something like that play is still a little pissed we got rid of Millar ... but Millar is currently batting .293.. and in the last 7 days is batting .182... and Doublesworth is currently batting .297.. and in the last 7 days he's batting .556
I think it is time to sit Lee down and give Banks a day at 1B. Get the streak over with and that may take some pressure off of Lee - he is not clutch and the less pressure on him I think the better. I like the guy, but he is not well-suited for JRS and I think he is pressing too hard right now. Give him a break, and let him re-group. He is not going to hit 40 HR ever with the Marlins, and 35 seems like a wild dream right now.
Hollandsworth does deserve to be considered the #2. He is currently batting .406 for May and soon those doubles may turn to HR. Problem is though, our #1 hitters havent been hitting well all season, whereas the #2 position has been doing very well (as #1 .247, #2 .351). Castillo seems to be turning the corner and may be ready for #1. However, moving Hollandsworth to #2 may produce more runs because of his power, but it seems the average for our #2 does not need to be improved. Our OBP for the #1 needs improvement though - (OBP #1 .309, #2 .413).
