IMO, we will take Detwiler(LHP, Missouri State) if he falls to us.

Electric lefthander, should be able to move fast through the system. Averaging 7+ IP over 9 starts, batters are hitting .188 off of him, 78/26 K/BB ratio, 11.13 K/9, 1.85 ERA, 1.08 WHIP.

What do you think someone in the know, like Ramp?

I can't wait for this draft, it is absolutely loaded and I have been following it pretty closely for awhile now. We will get a stud at #12, but I highly doubt Detwiler is available for us.

He is all the talk here in MVC country, even moreso than Pelfrey was 2 years ago.

BTW- A couple of guys I could see the Marlins targeting based on their history of drafting: Justin Jackson, a slick fielding SS from North Carolina and Neil Ramirez a 3 pitch HS righty with great control. Me personally? I am hoping a guy like Jason Heyward falls into our lap, and even though MIchael Burgess stock seems to free falling, I still like his tools and would love to pick him up.

When was that list released FutureGM? Seems kind of outdated....

I did not see a date on the article.

It is on ESPN Insider, so I was only able to get the full list. I have no idea if this is outdated or not. It certainly could be.

Id like to get a player that can travel fast through the system.

Too bad Wieters is out of our grasp.

Actually, it probably is up to date, as I didn't see any list that had Aumont that high up until about a month ago, and now everyone does. His stock has soared. I just didn't agree with a couple, thought Dominguez was high and Moskos a little low.

It's too bad LaPorta is a Boras client :(

I wouldn't want him at #12 though.

I can understand not wanting to deal with MLB level Boras clients, but it seems as if we have always been competitive and offered fair market signing bonuses in correlation to the position each player was drafted.

well we steered clear of Taylor Teagarden for that reason

and some incident went down with Craig Hansen too

In the case of Teagarden (missed all of last year), we probably made a good choice.

Damn I wish the fish could get Yasmani Grandel from springs.....The kid can flat out play....If there was some sort of way that he slipped to our 2nd pick we would HAVE to take him.... Cant see him getting passed the Sandwich round though.

Seems too much like a right handed Mike Jacobs to me. I'd rather have Jason Heyward.

This list looks old to me. Russell at #45 is an ANIMAL ! He just broke the all time Home run record ( season ), at the University of Texas and he still has plenty of time left to pile it on ! Not an easy task when you figure that the stadium at UT is HUGE....a real pitchers park.
He also hit for the cycle on Tuesday. Also he is an Outfielder....... Check him out on the link below.

#50 Joe Savery is a stud too.
