Bob Huggins is leaving Kansas State after just one season to take the vacant job at West Virginia, The Intelligencer and Wheeling News-Register newspapers reported.

The newspapers reported that according to a source close to the West Virginia athletic department, the hiring was a "done deal" and that the hiring would be officially announced Friday.

Kansas State scheduled a news conference "to discuss the men's baketball program" for late Thursday afternoon but did not disclose any other details.

Huggins, the former coach at Cincinnati, is a Morgantown native and West Virginia graduate who played for the Mountaineers.

A source close to Huggins told ESPN.com's Andy Katz that Huggins would let both West Virginia and Kansas State know where he stands by Friday.
