Jose Campusano remains one of the hottest hitters in the Dominican Winter League playoffs for the Gigantes del Cibao.
The 23-year-old infielder is 5-for-11 with two runs scored and one stolen base in his last five games. Overall, he is batting .529 (9-for-17) with five runs scored, one RBI and three stolen bases in eight postseason games.

Campusano, who was signed as a non-drafted free agent in April 2003, hit .294 with 11 runs scored, two RBIs and seven stolen bases in 23 regular-season contests.

Here is how the rest of the Marlins have fared recently in winter ball action:

3B Jesus Rojas -- Rojas, who joined the Pastora de los Llanos in late December, went 0-for-4 with a walk in three games.

CF Alex Sanchez -- After being one of the hottest hitters in Venezuela, the 30-year-old outfielder ended the season on a mini-slide, going 2-for-17 in his final four games. Sanchez, a non-roster invitee to Spring Training, batted .350 with three home runs, 22 RBIs, 22 runs scored and four stolen bases in 35 games with the Tiburones de La Guaira, who didn't qualify for the playoffs.

LHP Renyel Pinto -- The 24-year-old won two of his final three starts for the Caribes de Oriente. He went 2-1 with a 3.00 ERA in six games (four starts), limiting opponents to a .221 batting average. The Caribes did not make the playoffs.

RHP Harvey Garcia -- Garcia, who joined the Leones del Caracas in late December, went 0-1 with a 15.43 ERA in three games. He has not appeared in the postseason.

3B Miguel Cabrera -- The Major League All-Star has been hot in his last six playoff games for the Tigres de Aragua, going 8-for-23 with five RBIs and five runs scored. That stretch has raised his postseason average to .304 with one home run, 11 RBIs and seven runs in 12 games. RHP Eddy Rodriguez -- The 25-year-old has not pitched in the playoffs after posting a 6.75 ERA in eight regular-season games with the Tigres. Opponents batted .387 against him.

RHP Felix Rodriguez -- Rodriguez, who was signed to a Minor League contract with an invitation to Spring Training on Jan. 12, is 1-0 in four playoff appearances for the Tigres. He has struck out four and walked one over 3 1/3 hitless innings. The native of the Dominican Republic posted a 27.00 ERA in three regular-season contests.

Mexican Pacific League
