What? No highlights of the Boston series?

I like Lastings, but he's a very annoying and unpolished player. He has a lot to learn. Fernando martinez, now there's a player.

You can't even compare Martinez to Milledge brother. Milledge is the real deal.

Milledge is the real deal? Based on what? Minor League numbers? Martinez is probably more advanced than Milledge at a younger age.

the real deal right there................ can't believe they even bothered to make a clip for this kid........ he did anything but thrill in his MLB callup

he'll definitely be a factor soon though.......... just not last year.

Notice how the thread is titled "star in the making". Just because the guy wasn't Hanley Ramirez in his first season doesn't mean he's not due for a breakout year. Mets fans should expect good things from him this season.

Why? He'll be lucky to make the team.

He's not making the team so he can ride the pine and back-up Shawn Green and Moises Alou. Endy Chavez and Ben Johnson have the inside track for the bench positions in the OF. Milledge will probably given his chance to win the starting job either midseason if either Alou or Green get hurt, or next spring. Hopefully his attitude will be in check when that time comes.
