This really needs to work for the Angels. Not enough success there and it would be nice for them if Maddon finally helps them break through.

What do you mean never happened? Joe Maddon has managed here every year since he became a manager... his all time record in games played in Miami is 24-19.

So who did Joe say is the Angels manager?
Joe didn't get to pick who the new manager is. He was renamed "Angels manager." Not sure why he decided to go in that direction because it will be confusing if the Angels pick someone else, but they always did say he was a wacky guy.
