What's wrong with the young outfielders' cores? Do they not do enough squats?

Will the big hand Rowson has be like a foam finger or something?

Are they making the bullpen phones bigger?

These tweets really lead to more questions than answers.

I'm more concerned about having a rising star on the bench. Sounds dangerous.

Some recent coaching updates...

Mattingly finally confirmed the "offensive coordinator" unofficial title for Rowson, after they recently kinda downplayed it.

He says the idea came from Rowson himself who was brought in to be bench coach but suggested more of a group effort for coaching hitting/hitting philosophies so he will oversee the whole operation while Eric Duncan is the official hitting coach.

Then they thought to do the same on the defensive side and thus offered that coordinator position to Trey Hillman, who would have become bench coach if Rowson wasn't brought in.

And Duncan was retained because of the positive reviews he was getting and also because other teams were asking to interview him so I guess they think he has more value than we realize.

I think we have some solid guys on the coaching staff, but I wish we hired a "Dugout Coordinator" or someone who could make in-game decisions and take things like bullpen management and lineup construction out of Mattingly's hands.

I think it's very proactive of the Marlins to hire an offensive coordinator. Now all the offensive comments that come out of the organization can be coordinated with an organized viewpoint.
