I sat through both of his starts against the Mets last year and they weren't pretty. The second game of the double header in Shea and then the next month in JRS, but i must agree I'd just glad to have him back.
He said he was throwing all four pitches for strikes. Until I see otherwise I'm taking him at his word.
Let's just hope Delgado stays cold for another night, and not forget Valentin is on the DL and Lo Duca is hitting .237 this season, and .167 in his last ten games. I know those stats go out the window when the game begins, but there is more hope than what the chart above indicates, the operative word being "hope".
From what I remember Noly made a start against the Mets when he was struggling big time. Nolasco has the stuff to get good hitters out so we could win this game. Pelfrey has been struggling too so we have a shot.
