He gets $1 mil if he makes the opening day roster, and $1 mil in other incentives. He will only be added to the 40 man roster if he makes the team.

nice work but i hope r.helling wakes up and starts doing better than the previouse 2 or 3 seasons...

As an Oriole fan, I can say I like the move....but his high ERA the last few years is scary. The O's need help big time in the rotation.

If nothing else, Helling is a guy that should eat up a lot of innings for the O's. His ERA is a little high, but still a full 2 to 3 runs lower than Jose Lima, a guy that some on this board seem to think would be great on the Marlins :rolleyes:

He can be dominant as he has been earlier with the Rangers...But he just needs to get back in stride..
